The Raizado Experience

WHAT TO EXPECT

THE RAIZADO EXPERIENCE

Raizado is intentionally curated with attention to detail and community. The festival is designed so that when people arrive, they are welcomed as their full selves: fully present in their humanity, representing the excellence of our collective Latine roots, and yet, fully met with care and connection.

Through intimate conversations, shared meals, and mindful wellness gatherings, attendees can expect to be immersed in reflection and joy. People often leave feeling renewed and reminded that they are not alone in the important and ongoing work of shifting cultural narratives.

Raizado is a space to connect, deepen existing relationships, remain open to new ones, revisit purpose, and experience a sense of belonging that extends beyond the multi-day convening.

OUR GUESTS

WHO COMES TOGETHER

The guest community spans industries and generations, and people who attend on their own often leave having formed new connections and relationships. Raizado brings together leaders who recognize the strength in our culture. We gather as leaders, advocates, and storytellers.

LOCATION

Raizado gathers in Aspen with the intent to honor and respect the Latine and migrant communities who sustain the region and whose lives and contributions are often overlooked.

Whether taking an unhurried walk between masterclasses or fireside chats, the location is designed to allow for reflection, collective learning, moments of stillness, and shared celebration.

PROGRAMMING

FESTIVALS OVER THE YEARS

This year marks five years of Raizado—and five years of gathering to celebrate culture, creativity, and excellence in the Latine community. Each year our festival experience includes signature programming shaped by this journey: intimate master classes, culinary experiences celebrating our culture, conversations led by award-winning changemakers, and the ICON Awards Gala.

MASTERCLASSES
Over the years, masterclass sessions have become some of the festival’s most intimate, immersive, and meaningful experiences, designed to nourish the mind, body, and spirit while exploring cultural inheritance, creativity, wellness, storytelling, and the practices that help us protect our energy and honor our roots.
PANELS & FIRESIDE CHATS
Since our very first gathering, panels and fireside chats have been designed to weave together personal and collective stories, provide cross-generational learning opportunities and build pathways for justice, equity, and communal healing. Note: Select sessions may be livestreamed.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Food has a profound way of evoking nostalgia and reminding us of home. Latine cuisine is widely celebrated around the world. Food is central to Justice for Migrant Women’s mission, given the organization’s roots in advocacy for women and community members employed in agriculture and across the food supply chain. It was a natural fit to make food a central focus of the Raizado Festival.

This festival honors chefs and mixologists as keepers of cultural traditions through food and beverage. Each year, a diverse culinary arts team prepares authentic recipes representing the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and South America.
MUSIC PERFORMANCES
As a celebration of joy and pride, our programming also features live musical performances, ranging from Latin GRAMMY-artists to local musical and performing arts talent. Performance lineups are announced in advance of each festival season.
FILM, BOOKS, & FASHION
Our festival uplifts Latine talent, creativity and excellence, through book readings and film screenings, while supporting local businesses and creators.

ICON AWARDS

Now in its fifth year, the ICON Awards are known as the festival’s marquee event, where we honor trailblazing Latine community members who have had a major impact in the areas of Power, Culture, Truth, service to the state of Colorado and Changemakers at large.

Honorees are announced ahead of each festival season and vary by year.
